This isn't the launch I expected.

When I started building Klau, the vision was automated dispatching. An algorithm that assigns jobs to drivers, optimizes routes, and runs your roll-off operation with minimal human intervention.

That's still the goal. But solutions evolve and goals change. I've learned there's a long way to go before that dream is fully realized.

So today I'm launching something different: Klau Coaching.

What Klau Coaching Does

Sign up at getklau.com. Import your dispatched work via CSV. Klau scores each day, identifies improvement opportunities, and shows you exactly where time and money are being left on the table.

The scoring algorithm I built to validate Klau's own automated plans turns out to be really effective at evaluating work dispatched by humans. It spots the patterns your dispatchers might miss.

Here's a real example of what Klau produces:

"This day shows a massive gap between drivers. Gabe ran a near-perfect route with 5 straight dump & returns requiring zero yard trips. Meanwhile, Mark V. and Joe M. hemorrhaged time with back-to-back pickups and poor geographic clustering. The company lost 75 minutes to avoidable yard returns and inefficient routing — all recoverable with better job sequencing."

The automated dispatching feature has more road ahead. For simple roll-off operations (3–5 trucks, one yard, one or two dump sites), the algorithm performs well. When we add more drivers, more sites, more materials, complexity sneaks in and performance doesn't meet my expectations yet.

That's why coaching is launching first. It lets me put Klau's foundation in front of real users while the automated dispatching continues to mature. We validate and improve together.
